Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer

Using HP Smart (which I hate), the Automatic Document Feeder does not function. At all. It doesn't whirr or click or even act like it's trying to work. I've seen a lot of articles telling me to clean the pickup wheels, but I fail to see the use in doing this because it does not make any attempt to pick up paper or even engage or come on.
