I bought this all in one printer at an estate sale benefiting veterans. Open box, but the printer had never been used. Tape still on the printer.  After starting it up, I learn it will not work without setup cartridges. No setup cartridges were in the box. How do I get setup cartridges? Or is there a way to  bypass?

Welcome to the HP support community.

If your new printer did not come with SETUP ink cartridges, do not continue with the steps in this document. Return the printer to the retailer.

Meanwhile, check the styrofoam in the printer box, setup cartridges might be in the box.

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for you assistance. I think we are almost there. The printer says it is out of warranty. Is my only option to pick a care package and get assistance?  Will I be able to get the setup cartridges that way?  If so, which care package would work for an HP 7520 all in one PhotoSmart?  I really just need the setup cartridges. @sandytechy20

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
