Not really a problem, more a technical question.
I have a mac 12.0.01 Monterey desktop.
I have successfully connected via wifi, but want to connect directly to computer.
on this iMac there are only usb c and thunderbolt or lightening (i get confused which is which) on the back. I did buy a converter via apple to plug regular USB using old cable from my envoy 3054. Can this be used to connect my new hp 8025e? If i plug this in, will the iMAC automatically pick this up or do i need to do-something on the printer itself to disconnect wifi. I am subscribed to hp+.
Thanks to anyone who can please help me. This stuff is certainly not my strong-suit.
Happy Holidays everyone.

If you have a USB cable that will plug into the back of your computer and then connect to the printer, that will work fine. While the connectors are different for the various USB types, all are interconnectable. Should be a straight plug and go and you should not have to, nor can you disconnect the WIFI or your printer will stop working until it connects to the internet again. Constant communication with HP is a requirement to monitor instant ink status.
