Hi, Although the 8132e printer is almost new, it has severe reliability problems, insofar that although it is permanently powered up and online directly next to my wifi router, if I ever need to print anything either remotely or at home, it will not do so without having to play around with it, for example by turning it off and restarting it again, which takes at least 5-6 minutes. remote printing only works occasionally. Copying is also a nightmare. When something is put on the glass plate to copy, and the copy command it is given, it can take up to 5 minutes (really 5 minutes) before it prints, because it is self-checking something, or God knows what else. I have tried a factory reset, and new configuration, but the problem has not improved. I have tried connecting it directly to the router with a LAN cable, also no improvement. I am so frustrated, that I am almost at the end of my tether, and want to throw it in the trash, even though it is only a few months old. It can not be the case, that by every occasional use of the printer, it is not instantly ready for use.

Seems like it is going to sleep and when it wakes up it tries to calibrate or run some diagnostics that take 5 minutes.
Access the printers embedded web page and set sleep to off or never.
Click here to see an example of turning off sleep.
If you have one of those GREEN type printers you may not be able to prevent it from sleeping.
If in warranty you should be able to get support. If disabling sleep does not help then return it under warranty.
Printer reference is here
Printer firmware update may fix the problem but be sure to read the description, not just the fixes.
