Christopher42:  One more fact about the persistent driver that will not be removed:  if I highlight the file (In drivers) and click on Properties, it tells me it is a "Help File" (UniDrv.HLP).  I can't find a way to close it so that it will not be in use, thus allowing me to remove it.

Using the 'Printer Server Properties' menu to delete nasty printer drivers would be my last resort too. Other idea: Menu 'Run the troubleshooter' below 'Printer server properties'?
Hope someone else can help how to unlock driver 'in use' ...
