My HP 8710 has now started printing blank pages

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 is printing blank pages on Windows 11, please try the steps to resolve the issue:

1. Check Ink Levels

  • On the printer touchscreen:
    • Tap the Ink icon or go to Setup > Ink Levels
  • Make sure none of the cartridges are empty.


2. Run Printhead Cleaning

  • On the printer:
    • Tap Setup (gear icon) > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead
  • Repeat up to 2–3 times if necessary.


3. Print a Diagnostic Page

  • Tap Setup > Reports > Print Quality Report
  • Check if any colors or black ink are missing or faint.

 

4. Remove and Reinsert Cartridges

  • Take out all ink cartridges.
  • Inspect for:
    • Plastic tabs left on cartridges
    • Dirty or blocked cartridge contacts
  • Gently clean contacts with a lint-free cloth, then reinsert.


5. Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer
  • Unplug it for 60 seconds
  • Plug it back in and restart
