HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I've been having issues with Print Spooler issues from our cellphones (Android). I've uninstalled the HP Smart service along with the HP Print Service. Both are set to ON. Our HP OfficeJet 9015e is on a wireless Internet via Router...DHCP for the IP address. I've gone as far as recycling my home Network and inputting the recommended settings. I have the HP Smart set up on my Windows 11 laptop and it'll be very tempermental. I've updated the Firmware to the most recent one.

Please share your thoughts as I'm not sure how to proceed.

Thank you!!

JB

@TBJB, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Print Spooler Issues with HP OfficeJet 9015e!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Print spooler issues when printing from Android cellphones can be quite frustrating. Here are some steps you can follow to resolve these issues:

Check Wireless Connection: Ensure that your HP OfficeJet 9015e is properly connected to your wireless network. Verify the IP address and make sure the printer is accessible from other devices.

Update Firmware: Ensure that the printer’s firmware is up-to-date. You mentioned you have updated it, but double-check that the update was applied correctly.

Reinstall HP Smart & HP Print Service: Uninstall both the HP Smart app and the HP Print Service from your Android device. Reinstall them from the Google Play Store, making sure you have the latest versions.

Check Android Print Settings: Make sure the Print Spooler service is enabled on your Android device:

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Show system apps (or similar depending on the device).
  • Find Print Spooler, select it and ensure it is turned on.

Printer Configuration:

  • Access your HP OfficeJet 9015e settings via HP Smart on your Windows 11 laptop.
  • Verify and configure the printer network settings if necessary. You mentioned DHCP is used; ensure DHCP assigns a consistent IP address to the printer to prevent network issues.

Clear Print Queue: On your Android device, go to Settings > Connected devices > Print and select the HP printer. Clear any jobs stuck in the print queue.

Router Configuration: Sometimes, issues can stem from the router settings. Restart your router and consider assigning a static IP to the printer through the router’s administrative interface.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
