I have both Mac Monterey and Windows 11.  My HP EliteBook has Windows 11.  However, on Windows 11 these apps have less functionality than on the Mac.  The HP allows one to switch back to Smart Print, which on my PC looks like it hung during installation.  Login wasn't possible on either app.  It would open a webpage in Edge.  Both the app and the page would say, "Try Again."  Are there updates available that work better than the ones I have?  Besides the notebook, I have a Deskjet 3630 connected to the HP.  The Smart Print only shows the Deskjet.

Sounds like a mess.

I am sorry for that.

 

I have both HP App and HP Smart installed and -- at least for the moment -- they are both working.

 

Sorry, no -- there is naught else in terms of "better" or "different" downloads.

 

If the one or both of the applications are installed,

Perhaps try the following:

 

Reset the HP App / HP Smart application(s).

If the Reset is not enough on its own, add the Uninstall / Reinstall.

Dragon-Fur, Thanks for your reply although I am just seeing it now due to other projects I had going.  A health reference, I had to fix me as well as the printer functions.  I will try your suggestions even to the point of using uninstall/reinstall.

 

Now that I am on the Mac Monterey, I see that HP just updated.  So, I will check whether the same app updated on Windows 11 before I do anything.

 

On Windows 11 I tried the Repair and Reset options for both HP and Smart Print.  With Smart Print, it stayed logged in; but before the update the left side tabs did not work.  Those options in Settings for those apps only made things worse.  In fact, in the Store the HP app did not come up.  I guess they have compatibility problems on Windows 11.  Smart Print did not work at all.  So, I entered the Deskjet's address into a browser window and added it to Favorites.  I can access the features that way.
