HP CP1215 not working when Window 11

HP color laser jet cp1215 is set as default on laptop with Windows 11.  When I go to print test page if shows the Default, Error (it worked before the window 11 upgrade.  I connect the printer to my desk top with Window 10. It works perfectly.  Been struggling for 2 days on this issue ….ggrrrr

I afraid the printer is incompatible with Windows 11, but up to Windows 10 only.

You may find HP printers compatible with Windows 11 listed below:

You may try installing the Windows 10 plug and play driver below, but for such a printer which uses the Host-Based printing language, it would likely be more problematic to use an unsupported driver:

You may also give the HP Smart UPD V3 or V4 a try, it does not officially support Host-Based printing but may work on some cases:

Please give it a try, it may work and may not, be aware that such compatibility have much more affect on an Host-Based printer, and your printer is not officially provided with any Windows 11 driver.

It works, but you must deinstall old driver and hp smart.

I tried a few times but it doesn't finish loading when it gets to part "plug in the USB it freeze on that page.....
