@Jay_24
Hi, I have requested via a private message the instruction on how to reset the Embedded Web Server password, it is a new printer MFP 179fnw and I have not set any password for it, ID admin and I have tried black or password for password but never worked.
Would you please advise?!

It seems like a whole bunch of devices (MFP-170-Series) have the same problem since they went on sale.
The following procedure has solved the problem in my case.
1. Print a Network Configuration Report for all important information.
- Turn on the printer.
- On the printer control panel, press the Menu button.
- Select System Setup, and then press OK.
- Select Report, and then press OK.
- Select Network Configuration, and then press OK.
- Select Yes, and then press OK.
(for detailed information study the link: https://support.hp.com/my-en/document/c06232924)
2. On the printout (report) search for the information “PIN Number” and note the value (only numbers).
3. Now try to Login again on Web-Interface (ID = admin) but instead of an empty password, use the value (the numbers).
Now it will finally be possible to change the password yourself.
Wish you good luck with the implementation and maybe it will help straight away!
Let the community know if it helped you too ...!
And if this support-procedure does not help, contact the manufacturer by phone (because if saves you a lot of time). 😉
