I have Hp Color laserjet PRO MFP M176n, have been working fine for many years on MAC, and computer, suddenly the printer was not working on my mac anymore, i tried it on a older mac computer, but still not working. When i try to install the printer again, then the printer not showing, if i add the printer on IP printer, i find the printer, and can only print, but not scan.
Have tried to restor the printer, and change the ip adress on it. The printer is connected to a ruter, like it allways have been.
If i connect the USB cable to the printer, it comes up, and everything is working. What can be wrong ? Does the printer not support the new update on MAC. I also tried to install a different OS version.

A warm welcome to HP forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
Performing a network power reset and then adding the printer as AirPrint may resolve the issue. Let's try these steps:
Please ensure the printer is up-to-date with its firmware. If you are unsure, you can download and install the latest firmware update from here.
1.) Unplug your modem/router and leave it powered off.
2.) Power off your printer
4.) Reconnect your modem/router and wait for it to re-establish its internet connection.
5.) Power on your printer. Make sure that the printer is connected to your network and have a valid IP address.
Once the printer is connected, use the steps below to remove the printer and add the printer as AirPrint:
1.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
2.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.
3.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button at the bottom of the list.
4.) Click the plus sign , click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.
5.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add.
6.) Try to print and scan.
Let me know how it goes!

Hi, thanks for the quick answer. I have now reinstalled the new firmware, it was the same that was installed. I did a network restart also, and removed all printer on my mac. But the printer is not coming up on the printer page. When i write the ip on my printer in safari, that is working. Its only that the printer will not come up as a printer option when i try to add a new printer.
I tryied also to restore the printer to factory setting. What can i try now ? 🙂

I tried now with network cable on my MAC. And that was working fine, now i found my printer, so maybe it can be some issue with my new Asus Lyra WIFI ruter. Do i need to give access to the printer some way. Have been working fine on wifi ruter before.

We could try updating the router firmware, you may use the steps available here to update the router firmware. If the issue persists, then you have to contact your Internet service provider and check if the router is able to forward bonjour packets.
