Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP deskjet 2632.

I have been able to connect to WIFI and set on wireless printing. The last step was "enable web services" so that I can set up HP instant ink.

I had to do this manually - however, when prompted to enter a "claim code" I had no claim code nor did I have @hpeprint email address. Since then I've had MANY problems.

- System error message appeared when setup on web services was "completed" - managed to find a community archive message which was the following:

- Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
- Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
- Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
- On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). You can find the DHCP range of the router using its internal settings page or in its manual. Use the CD that came with your router or type the router's IP address (ends in .1) into a browser.
- Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
- Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway and first DNS. Leave the second one blank.  <<< The DNS could be your problem.  If this does not work, try Google's DNS 8.8.8.8
- Click 'Apply'.

Appeared to have worked but then got another message in web services (set up) stating that:

printer can't connect to the server.

check network settings (such as DNS and default gateway settings) and then try again

print web access report

I can no longer go to my printers IP address (all browsers - chrome, internet explorer and microsoft edge) as the IP address was doesn't "exist" and then it appeared that the IP address was 192.186.1.9 BUT is now 192.168.1.1 (which is my router's IP address. All very confusing.

When web access report has been printed problem appears to be that the computers DNS server address doesn't math the printers. I believe I need to check the DNS address to Google's DNS 8.8.8.8 but I'm unable to do that because I cant access my printers IP address.

One big highly irritating cycle.

Any advice on what to do will be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you
