My printer is not PRINTING. I tried doing test but it did not work.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Make sure HP Utility is installed on your MAC.
  1. On your Mac, click Finder, click Applications.
  2. Click the Hewlett-Packard or HP folder, then double-click HP Utility.
  • If HP Utility is not available, download and install HP Utility from here

Checking the ink levels, cleaning the ink cartridges may resolve this issue. Let us try these steps: 

 

Step 1: Check estimated ink levels

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. On your Mac, click Finder, click Applications.
  3. Click the Hewlett-Packard or HP folder, then double-click HP Utility.
  4. Click Supplies Status.

  6. Replace any low or empty ink cartridges

Step 2: Clean the ink cartridges

  1. Load U.S. Letter or A4 size, unused, plain paper into the input tray.
  2. Press the Power button to turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  3. On your Mac, click Finder, click Applications.
  4. Click the Hewlett-Packard or HP folder, then double-click HP Utility.
  5. Click Clean Printheads.
  6. Once the cleaning cycle completes, click Print.
  7. A test page prints.

  10. Examine the test page.
