HP DeskJet 2630 All in One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone. Hope you're having a nice day. I need an URGENT solution to my problem described below.

I have an HP DeskJet 2630 Printer. It was working perfectly and I've had it for about a year and a half now, maybe even more. It was always working perfectly. Not today, however.

I've replaced the ink with the correct code of 123 and it is an original toner. The printer was working well then. I go to print my important documents, and suddenly the printer stops. It seemed like a paper jam, so I removed the paper entirely and it was one piece. Supposedly  the printer didn't like that, and gave me an E3 error code.

I've done everything. I've checked for paper in the paper tray, ink cartridge replacement hub, the paper tray, and the paper jam tray at the bottom of the printer. Supposedly, nothing was there. I tried replacing the ink (both) with a spare cartridge I have. Nothing works. The error is still there. Unplugging and replugging also didn't work, to note.

The printer also makes weird noises. The noises don't happen when the cartridges move, so I thought it had nothing to do with it. It only happens when the printer is trying to pull some paper. It's been worrying me.

I tried doing everything. I didn't reset the printer though, since that doesn't make sense and doesn't seem to help with squeaking and screeching motors.

To further and finally clarify, the issue is with pulling paper. The printer DOES NOT pull the paper properly at all. It also makes very weird noises ONLY when trying to pull the paper.

I need urgent help. I've got important documents to print and the nearest bookstore is very far. If some other troubleshoot or tip could help and finally solve the problem, it'd be a godsend.

Also, this error didn't come up in a lot of time. It happened for the first time. Never came up before when replacing a cartridge. It seems like there's some ink on the plastic under the cartridges, so I'm not sure if it's leaking or what.

PLEASE HELP URGENTLY. THANK YOU.

Thank you for joining the HP Community

The ink cartridge carriage stalls in the printer, the control panel displays an 'E' and '3', and the Resume light and the Ink Alert light blink. A paper jam might have occurred previously.

You might also experience the following symptoms:

  • The printer does not print.

  • The print job stops unexpectedly.

Refer to this document: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-deskjet-2600-all-in-one-printer-series/12319824/model/167793... for An 'E3' Error Displays.

Keep me posted, how it goes!

Hello Raj. I've mentioned everything but it seems like you didn't really read it, and that's due to the long article that I'm sorry about. I've done everything in the page and the video. It didn't help.

Please reply soon. Thanks.

Appreciate you trying the steps. This looks like a hardware issue. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Have a great day!
