I need to reset the EWS password of my printer.

Please do not tell me to reset network settings or press wifi and cancel button etc. done that doesn't work.

I very specifically need to either reset the EWS password or perform a factory reset.

Thanks

Welcome to HP support community.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

I hope that helps.

Here is how to do it guys:

  • Power off the printer.
  • Press and hold both the Resume and Color Copy buttons, do not release the buttons yet.
  • Power on the printer.
  • Release the buttons after 20 seconds.

If that doesn't work, your printer firmware may too old and does not support a printer reset, using a USB cable connection update the printer form your computer and then repeat the reset steps above once again:
