Hi @MurugesaOpenssl,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you want to add a scanner shortcut to Favorites for your HP DeskJet 3630 series printer on Windows 10. You can use the HP Smart app, which is recommended for managing scan tasks and creating shortcuts.

Steps to Add a Scanner Shortcut to Favorites Using HP Smart App:

  1. Download and Install HP Smart:
  2. Open HP Smart and Sign In:
    • Launch the app and sign in with your HP account.
    • Make sure your HP DeskJet 3630 is connected and detected.

  3. Create a Scan Shortcut:
    • Click on “Shortcuts” in the HP Smart app.
    • Select “Add Shortcut”.
    • Choose a preset (like “Save to Google Drive” or “Print, Email, and Save”) or click “Create your Shortcut”.
    • Customize the scan settings (destination, file type, etc.).
    • Name your shortcut and enable “Quick Run” if you want to skip preview/edit steps.

  4. Add to Favourites:
    • Once created, your shortcut will appear under “My Shortcuts”.
    • You can pin it to the top or mark it as a favorite within the app for quick access.

  5. Optional: Create a Desktop Shortcut:
    • While HP Smart doesn’t directly allow desktop shortcuts for individual scan tasks, you can:
      • Create a shortcut to the HP Smart app on your desktop.
      • Open HP Smart and run your scan shortcut from there.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
