HP Deskjet 2655 All-In-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I keep getting notifications or requests through HP Support Assistant to update the firmware for my HP Deskjet printer. But when I try to download and install it, the printer is there, but it is "grayed" out so I can't check the box to update it. It tells me my printer is already updated with the latest firmware. I keep getting these notifications for all of my devices that the firmware needs to be updated, but the same scenario is happening on all my devices. I called HP and he was no help at all and basically told me to ignore it. But, when you have 4 different devices and these notifications every week, it's getting old! I don't want to have to uninstall HP Support Assistant because I like keeping all of my HP devices up-to-date, but I will be forced to if these don't stop!! I also check the box saying the update successfully installed afterwards thinking that might stop them, but it hasn't! Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

@Bamatami, Welcome to HP Support Community!

You can disable the notifications on the HP Support Assistant Application. Here is how you can do it-

Open the HP Support Assistant Window > Click on settings > disable the notifications

Also, you can manually check for updates on the support assistant once in a while. If there are updates available, click on update to install the updates.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thanks! That's a good idea! I didn't want to disable notifications at first, but you're right. I can always go into HP SA and check for updates. I appreciate your advice!!
