HP Deskjet 3070A
Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

Hi ,

Just bought my new Macbook and try to install the printer  with USB (as i did with my previous macbook in Mavericks) ,  i have the choice between "generic PCL printer"  or choose the software, i choose "HP deskjet series" , but when i print there is no option to print in color, no supply informations provided , the print quality is black and white and really awful.

I now have to use my old macbook to print !

How can i use the driver that was used on my previous macbook ?

Thank you

Duc

Hi Duc,

Click About This Mac and then Software Update.

Click the top Store menu and select Reload Page, be sure to installl any available HP or Apple updates once the driver check completes.

Next go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanner, click the plus button and select the printer, be sure to select the printer model from the Use drop down menu.

Thank you, it works. I didn't ask updates as i didn't see any thing related to the HP drivers in the changes list.
