Hi,

Further to all the previous posts on the the obsolete Deskjet drivers for the 720C et al for Windows 8 (x64) onwards, can I just confirm that the current workaround (rather than a driver update) is to use an earlier version of Windows (32bit) on which the Deskjet drivers are compatible to be able to continue using one's Deskjet 720C or other affected printer?  In other words, the DJPatch.zip drivers are not expected to work with 64bit versions of Windows 8, 10 and 11?

Presumably, someone familiar with debugging printer drivers would be able to determine what exactly is causing the Deskjet printer drivers to crash the Printer Spooler.  I am guessing it's a 32bit/64bit incompatibility bug.   I wonder if it would be straightforward to fix.

Thanks,

S
