Hello since the MacOS update (Big Sur version 11.4) I am unable to print or scan any documents with my HP Deskjet F4500.
I tried setting it up from the beginning but now it has a different icon for the printer and removed the option of scanning. It doesn't print either.
Does anyone know how i can fix this? I have to scan very important documents and send them abroad

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware. Update printer firmware
Remove and add the printer
Click the Apple menu, and then select System Preferences.
Depending on your operating system version, click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners.
Click the name of your printer, click the Minus sign and then delete the printer.
Click the Plus sign and then click Add Printer or Scanner.
Click the Use or Print Using box, and then select AirPrint
Click Add to add the printer to the list.
Try to print.
Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hello,
The Deskjet F4500 has not been supported on macOS since 10.11 which was released in 2015. The printer is also not Airprint compatible.

You may try installing a third party Gutenprint driver. Please note these drivers are not supported by either HP or Apple.
