Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

Good day

I need the driver for HP Deskjet 1280 printer for my new PC running on Windows 8.1 (32bit). I see this question has been posed before on the forum and I followed the advice of loading the HP Deskjet PCL3 class driver. This is now listed as a printer device. However, when I want to print a test page it shows an error and does not work (it does show up in the printer queue but nothing happens).

I have also downloaded the HP Printer and Scan Doctor 5.0, which shows that the Deskjet 1280 is not installed. When I click on PCL3 it refers back to the HP support page, and we keep on going in circles....

Please help!

As the full feature drivers are not available, I suggest that you download and install the Windows built-in drivers from the link: Windows Built-in Print Driver
