1st attempt failed miserably, I will go over the procedure again to see if I can correct what I did wrong.

It might help a lot of other users, if HP came up with an official hot fix for this issue.

Sorry I can't get it to work, windows always interupts the process, and installs one of its generic drivers.

I think I'm going to uninstall windows 10

I will revert back to windows 7

As I don't like windows 10 anyway it sucks.

Update after the 4th attempt it worked perfectly thank you!

I had to make sure that every trace of the HP Printer had been removed from my computer,as to make it a clean install.

I followed your instruction to the letter, after I had first stopped to take a coffee break.

Anyway everything is working again how it should the Printer scans and prints perfectly.

The wife is delighted, since it is her that uses the printer the most,as she makes cards for all the local charities..
