Hello,

I hope you lovely people may be able to help me out.  I've had my 5640 printer for just over a year and my PC for just over 2 years and never had a problem with printing.   I recently had my PC upgraded with an SSD fitted and RAM upgraded from 4gb to 8gb and since I got the PC back, my printer just won't print from the PC (website pages).  It prints from the mobile app on my Samsung Android phone.  It printed out a page directly from the HP website (network configuration page) and from the printer itself (wireless set up) but won't print out my holiday car rental voucher which isn't needed at moment but will be in 3 months.  I have tried everything such as basics like switching printer off, taking out mains and restarting.  I have always used it on a wireless connection and would like to continue that.   The printer indicated the wireless connection is ok as does the PC.  I have reinstalled the whole software package twice, downloaded drivers,  used the HP Print/Scan doctor which gets frozen  after trying to  print a evaluation page which doesn't print incidentially.   When i try to print the car rental voucher for example, I am able to select which pages and it seems like its going to print but then theres nothing in  See What Waiting to Print at all ?

I do not think that the printer is faulty just something wrong with the PC that it no longer likes ?  I haven't tried printing with a Wired connection as yet.   Any advice please. Thanks very much

Welcome to HP Support Community

I suggest you download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor from this Link: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

Run PSDR v5.0.2

Once the PSDR detects the Printer, it will show up the IP address and Software Status.

Select the correct Printer and click on Next.

PSDR will check if the Printer is on the Network and communication between the PC and the Printer. Once the connection check is done, click on Fix Printing

Once PSDR goes through all checks and automatic fixes, click on Print a test page.

Regardless if PSDR printed the test page or not, click on “NO PRINT”

PSDR will then notify you that there is an update available, click on continue, and PSDR will apply the patch and ask for a reboot.

Post restart the PSDR will run automatically to check for more issue.  If no issue found close PSDR.

Try printing and let me know how it goes 😊
