HP ENVY 6420e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello community

I have an HP ENVY 6420e.

I wanted to connect it to a new network and now I have a problem.

When I go to available WLAN networks, I find the printer in the list with the name “Setup_Hp_Envy-6420”.

This connection is not secured (i.e. no lock symbol). I therefore do not dare to establish a connection.

Irrespective of this, I also want to integrate the printer into the house network and not control it in the open network.

The reset to factory settings does not work either.

Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance.

Steve

This video shows how to connect your new HP Envy 6420e printer with the Wifi network of your home or office. Welcome To My Channel - Printer Guruji https://www.youtube.com/c/PrinterGuruji

Thank you for your advice.....

but the problem remains: The printer can be found in the list of devices available via wifi. But the device or connection is not secured (lock symbol). Should I connect the cell phone anyway? That's not secure, is it? I remember that the printer appears as a secured WLAN connection,

This is what I see in the WLAN list:

HP=Setup<41_ENVY_6400series

...and again, it´s an unsecured w-lan connection

Hi @Steve92e94

Not sure what you are trying to do with your Wifi printer.

1. First things first, did you follow steps from the video ?

2. After following steps, you have a printer with full operation, printer and scanner ?

3. Maybe you want connect your printer using the Wifi Direct setup ?

Wifi Direct is a configuration option available in your Envy printer to allow you a fast connection to print and scan.

Wifi Direct looks like the next screenshot:
