macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I'm after some help please as i am about to throw this printer out of the window.:Printer:

i am enrolled in the instant ink programme and the printer is showing the error message that both cartridges cannot be used until the printer is enrolled. i have followed all the solutions from the HP website, updated drivers etc but i am going round in circles and unable to print anything. i wish i had never purchased the printer with all this trouble.

 

Does any one have any suggesions please.  My computer is a MACOS High Sierra 10.13.6

Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

 

Try these steps -

 

1) Turn on the printer, if it is not already on. 
2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent.
3) With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the printer & wall. 
3) Wait for 60 seconds.  
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector. 
5) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

 

Also, try updating the printer's firmware. Refer to this document for steps - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

 

Have you checked you HP Instant Ink account page? Your Instant Ink account page will have notifications if there are any issues with the account, it will even provide solutions on how to fix the issue. You may log in to your HP Instant Ink account page from here.

I had the same come up on my printer I have the HP ENVY PHOTO 6234 , I have just replaced them the old ink as it was almost finished I tried print a document off but it came up with this about the ink ,so I checked the ink cartridges and found that the the replacements they have sent are not the right ones these are a bigger than the ones I received with the printer , I replaced the old ones again as they wasn’t quite empty and i now have my document printed.

so check the cartridges.
