HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

Ever since Windows pushed Windows 11 to my computer, I have not been able to print or scan properly. My HP ENVY Photo 7155 is connected to my computer with a USB cable. I am wondering if this model is no longer compatible with Windows 11 because everything I have tried to fix the issue hasn't worked, including following directions on some postings on the HP support community forums. The HP Smart app doesn't seem to know my printer status even though it recognizes the model of printer I have:

The HP Print and Scan Doctor app recognizes problems, and in the case of printing it is able to fix the issue and I can print, but each time I have to use the Doctor app in order to print. In the case of scanning, the Scan Doctor app also sees a problem and seems to fix it:

But then when I go to scan from HP Smart it gives this error:

When I go to support.hp.com to the available drivers, I choose the "Driver Product Installation Software" and click Install, but it just takes me to Microsoft Store to download the HP Smart app, which I did about 10 days ago so I think I have the latest HP Smart version. So I'm just going around in circles.

Is there anything I can do, or should I get a new printer that's Windows 11 compatible?

Thank you.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting printer connectivity issues, I am glad to assist you.

This printer is compatible with Windows 11, follow these steps to fix the issue:-

.Assign a manual IP address to manually connect the printer.

Find the printer IP address to assign it manually.

  1. Load plain U.S. letter or A4 paper in the input tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon .

  3. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Reports.

  4. Touch Network Configuration Page to print the page, which can be up to four pages long.

Setting a Static IP Address

Once you know your printer’s IP address from the page you printed, entering it is pretty easy. Here’s what you do:

HP Printer Static IP Address

  1. Run your Web browser.
  2. In the Web browser’s address bar, type the IP address of your printer and press Enter. Assuming you entered the right address, the HP printer control panel should appear.
  3. Click the Networking tab.
  4. Under Connections, click Wireless.
  5. Under IP Address Configuration, click Manual IP.
  6. Enter the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway in the appropriate boxes.
  7. Click Apply.

Thanks for the reply. I spent 1.5 hours on the phone yesterday with HP Support to resolve this issue. The only solution that worked to get printing and scanning functional again was to reconnect the printer using Wi-Fi instead of connecting it with USB.
