HP ENVY Photo 7800 All-In-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP ENVY Photo 7800 All-In-One Printer Firmware Update keeps being offered and downloads, but says when my printer is listed it is greyed out and says Un Applicable. Surely this must be wrong?

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,  I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

The latest firmware version available for the printer is Version:1925A: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-envy-photo-7800-all-in-one-printer-ser...

Could you please print a printer status report and check the current firmware version of the printer: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c05571878

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

No to the reply from the HP employee,    I click on your link to  1925A,  and it takes me back in that wonderful HP circuitous way to my own HP support page where it again offers me the same 1925 download   (no A)  which will not download because   YOU HP say it is unapplicable.

I await a better answer

Download HP Print and Scan Doctor. Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer. Once HP Print and Scan Doctor is open, click Start, and then choose your printer. Depending on the problem, click either Fix Printing or Fix Scanning. Test results are displayed with icons.

Click here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/topic/printscandoctor to run HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows.
