My printer is stuck on the loading screen, showing he HP logo and one dot filled in. Unplugging the printer, and other cords, for several minutes and plugging it back in has not changed anything. From reviewing other posts, I believe I may need instructions to try a full reset of the printer. Thanks

@EKoritsky, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand the printer gets stuck at the initialization screen. Let us try these steps:
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
If this does not help, unplug the power cable and hold the power button down for 10-15 seconds and release it. Power on the printer and check.
A semi-full reset or a factory reset can be performed only if you are able to bypass this screen and access the home screen of the printer.
Also, the back/return key should work to perform the reset.
As this is not possible, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer.
Follow the instructions below to reach them:
1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences.
6)Fill the web-form and proceed further.
If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
Click on the YES button to reply that the response was helpful and/or to say “Thank You”.
Have a great day!

I tried all of the solutions you have given multiple times and the printer continues to freeze on the same screen each time. It has been happening now for at least a month, and I have tried to unplug it to restart many times. No matter how many times I try, I can never bypass the screen that has the HP logo with a loading bar and dots below (mine is stuck on the first dot being blue and the rest unfilled). I tried to follow your technical support link, but because my printer is "out of warranty", I have to pay either $20 for a one time phone conversation or $30 for a full year of phone support. I find it ridiculous that there are no other options to get support for a printer defect.

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.
