HP Deskjet 3630
macOS 10.12 Sierra

Hello

i am reinstalling my printer HP Deskjet 3630, using HP Easy Start on my Macbook

I foloowed the instructions to connect it to the wireless network and allowed access to keychain to retrieve the password.

However the connection won't complete as I keep receiving a window (see screengrab) saying "the user name and password assigned to this device by your adminastrator are requested to perfoman this tak". Does anybody know what user name and password i'ts referring to? I tried my computer's, the network's, I even tried to understand if the device it refers to it's ne printer. Nothing works.

Help please!!!

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

That should be your Computer User Login name and Password.

Hope that helps.

Hi,

That's the administrator's username and password.

We have installed on mac before and got the same prompt, which we entered the info and the install continued.

Thanks.
