HP Recommended

It was necessary that I reinstall Mac OS Ventura, 10  13.2.1 on my 2019 MacBook Pro, and now HP Easy Start cannot find our HP Laserjet Pro M501 so that I can install a compatible printer driver. 

The printer has been turned on and is plugged into the laptop with a USB cable. The cable functions so that I can print in a somewhat degraded way – but without the benefit of the driver's feature that enable you to specify a paper's weight (e.g., 110 - 130 gsm) or to make use of the "pro" resolution. 

Before the reinstall of the OS, the printer functioned with these features.

Now the HP Easy Start searches for but never finds the printer. Turning the laptop and printer off and on has not made any difference.
