HP Color LaserJet M555 (firmware 2505192_030553)
HP Easy Start Version 2.13.0 (220124)
macOS 12.5 Monterey
I start the HP Easy Start application.
I tick the "Essential Software" checkbox in the HP Easy Start –> Install page, and press the "Continue" button.
"Essential Software" is downloaded, then SWHelper prompts for user name and password.
I enter the correct credentials (Admin user).
"Essential Software" is installing.
"Essential Software" installed successfully; "Continue" button changes from grey to blue.
I press the "Continue" button.
The HP Easy Start –> Add and Verify Your Device page is shown, recommending that I use the HP printer driver.
I press the "Switch to the HP Driver" button; button colour changes from blue to light grey.
"Gathering device information" is displayed briefly (with a round progress indicator), then disappears.
Now, all buttons are light grey (including "Continue") and unresponsive, except for the "Back" button.
Pressing the "Back" button takes me to the HP Easy Start –> Install page.
"Essential Software" is shown with the following information:
Status: Up to Date
Version: 6.0.0.6
