A customer has Micosoft Dynamics POS solution installed on a server and many EPSON POS printers setup via Ethernet and OPOS drivers. These are working fine. Now he got a HP Engage One Pro Ethernet ... 299U7AA / H400 CA-Series printer (how many different codes for the same device????). We installed the CA-Series Cfg Utilty and the OPOS driver from https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-engage-serial-ethernet-usb-thermal-printer/21008....
The CA-Series Cfg Utility works OK using the printers IP, but the OPOS Demo is unable to connect to the printer. The demo always gives OPOS_E_FAILED, nothing more. The OPOS object for the driver is configured correctly with the IP of the printer.
What else needs to be done to get a working OPOS Printer object for the H400?
Thanks
Josef

Bump, OK.
Another question: Is there a new version of this good guide: "HP Point of Sale (POS), Peripherals Configuration Guide, Document Version 3.93, April 2019" ?
This one explans the installation in detail (>540 pages). Very good, but outdated.
Over all it seems that OPOS, JPOS etc. are only for some wizards. There is nearly no really development help.
Please help
Josef
