Hello Everyone,
It seems that Windows 10 1809 has broken commucation between the computer and my printer. I have unistalled and reinstalled the software from the website many times. I've also tried letting windows 10 find the printer and install the drivers. Windows always says the printer is sucessful setup and ready to go and it does show as listed in both device manger and priters and scanners. However when I try to print the printer isn't listed as avaiable. I've tried Microsoft Word as well as notepad, none can find the printer. I am able to print wirelessly from my phone and other connected devices just fine. And up until 3 days ago when I updated to Win 10 1809 everything worked perfect. I'm not opposed to rolling back the update if possible, cosidering I just got an 1809 fix update last night. I was hoping it would fix the printer, but it didn't! All was working fine on 1803. Just wondering if someone knew a fix before I roll back considering the 1809 update took a while to get LOL!
Thanks for any help

Welcome to HP Community
I suggest you download and run the HP Print And Scan Doctor from this Link: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe
Run PSDR v5.0.2
Once the PSDR detects the Printer, it will show up the IP address and Software Status.
Select the correct Printer and click on Next.
PSDR will check if the Printer is on the Network and communication between the PC and the Printer. Once the connection check is done, click on Fix Printing
Once PSDR goes through all checks and automatic fixes, click on Print a test page.
Regardless if PSDR printed the test page or not, click on “NO PRINT”
PSDR will then notify you that there is an update available, click on continue, and PSDR will apply the patch and ask for a reboot.
Post restart the PSDR will run automatically to check for more issue. If no issue found close PSDR.
Keep me posted how it goes 😊

@KrazyToad
just wanted to say Thanks for the Solution. It worked great. Also wanted to mention that on the drivers and downloads page for the 4501 an older version of the print and scan doctor is avaiable. But the vision linked above did fix the problem with the 1809 update.
Many Thanks again.
