HP Envy 4520 - Won't print color and no option at Preferences-Paper/Quality to select Color

Awhile back my HP Envy 4520 decided to no longer print color and furthermore, when opening at Preferences-Paper/Quality to check that Color is selected, it's not there., nor is Print in Gray Scale as they should be. Following t-shooting steps I removed the driver and restarted my laptop (2020 Hp Spectre X360 running WIN10).

I downloaded and reinstalled the latest driver, but no change. I've been through the settings on the printer itself. All appears normal. I found a post on this site inquiring about the exact issue. In the answer posted it has a link to an article to fix the problem, but the link is broken.

This is beyond frustrating. Please advise.

Hi,

Try following below specific version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility by selecting your printer:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

Be sure to restart your PC and allow the utility to complete the process, then check for any difference.

Try printing and check for any change, if the same remains try printing using the newly added print queue copy (Copy1) and check for any difference.
