Only recently each request to print a hardcopy of any Word, PDF or any other document results in a default to Print to File. I am unable to print a hardcopy of any document. Diagnostics did not resolve the issue. Any suggestions? - HanPet

Hello,
In order to palliate this incident, please try the following solution:
- Disconnect the USB cable from the computer's USB port.
- On the keyboard, simultaneously tap the Windows flag and the R key. The Run window opens.
- Type control printers, then press Enter. The Devices and Printers window opens.
- Right-click HP ENVY 5000 series, then Remove device and Yes.
- On the keyboard, simultaneously tap the Windows flag and the R key. The Run window opens.
- Type printui /s /t2, then press Enter. The Print Server Properties window opens in the Drivers tab.
- Select HP ENVY 5000 series, then click Remove..., and then select Remove driver and driver package.
- Click OK, then Yes, and then Delete.
- Restart the computer.
- Launch the printer software installed on the desktop and click Connect a new printer.
- Select Manual Setup, then Next, and select Wireless or USB (depending on the actual printer connection), and then Next.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the printer installation.
- Try to print and scan.
