Hello there lovley HP support community!
Please can you help! Recently I have bought a new HP laptop. I can print from the laptop to my HP Envy 5546 just fine, however it prints only in black and white desptie selecting it to print in colour posssible.
I have printed out a diagnositc sheet which comes out in colour - it recognises that there is a colour cartridge in the printer and the cartridge was changed yesterday.
I'm not conivnced it's a catridge or printer issue as when I do the HP print and scan doctor it comes out as everythhing is fine - however the test / evlautrion page also comes out in Black and White. I decided to try my old laptop and when that is used to print, it can do it in colour! My old HP laptop had the printer set up on using the installation disk, however my new laptiop doesn't have a CD port so i cannot install it using the disk!
Plase help!

Hi @Charlotte_30,
A warm welcome to HP Community!
It sounds like and issue with the printer software and driver installed on your computer. Use the following method to remove all existing printer software and driver from your computer:
1.) In Windows, search for and open Control panel then click Programs and Features.
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
15.) Restart the computer.
Once the printer software and driver is removed, download and install the software and driver from here.
Let me know how it goes!
