Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I keep getting the message to install updates for my HP Envy 6075 printer even though the update is already installed. The version number on each update is the same: 51.2.4772.2064. I installed the update on 7/25/21 and 7/27/21 and they both appeared to install correctly.  Why am I getting this message?

@mmclark, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

To assist you better, where do you see this message to update the printer?

Is it on the HP Smart app?

These notifications are sent to all the printer owners by an automated server. You may ignore this message if the printer is up to date.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hello Kumar0307,

I am seeing this message on the HP Support Assistant screen.  I have an icon in my taskbar that always has the red exclamation point since it keeps asking me to install the same update.  Is there anyway I can remove the exclamation point so I will know when there is a new update or message I do need to see?

Thanks for your help 🙂

Thank you.  I finally found the Delete option in the drop down list that was showing" Install Now".  I do not have a Trash icon showing.  I was able to delete the message and get rid of the red exclamation point.  I'll have to remember that in case it happens again.  Thank you again.
