Hi @Blobbynator,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble printing from your HP Envy 6020e printer. Printer issues can be caused by various factors, and it's important to troubleshoot to determine the exact cause of the problem. Here are some steps you can follow to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue.
Check Printer Connection:
- Make sure your printer is properly connected to your PC, either through a USB cable or a wireless network connection.
- If using a wireless connection, ensure that both the printer and the PC are connected to the same network.
Printer Status:
- Check if there are any error messages or warnings displayed on the printer's control panel. If there are any issues, the printer itself may need attention.
Print Queue:
- Open the print queue on your PC to see if there are any error messages associated with your print job. Here's how:
- Press Win + R, type "control printers", and press Enter.
- Find your HP Envy 6020e printer in the list and check the print queue for any pending jobs with error messages.
Restart Printer and PC:
- Sometimes, a simple restart of both the printer and the PC can resolve printing issues. Turn off both devices, wait for a minute, and then turn them back on.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Outdated or corrupted printer drivers can cause printing problems. Visit the HP website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Make sure your operating system is up to date by checking for Windows updates. Sometimes, updates can resolve compatibility issues.
Check for Software Conflicts:
- Ensure that there are no software conflicts or third-party applications that might interfere with the printing process. Try printing with all unnecessary background applications turned off.
Reinstall Printer:
- You can try removing the printer from your PC and then reinstalling it. To do this:
- Go to "Settings" > "Devices" > "Printers & scanners."
- Select your HP Envy 6020e printer and click "Remove device."
- Re-add the printer by clicking "Add a printer or scanner" and follow the on-screen instructions.
Test with a Different File:
- Try printing a different file to see if the issue is specific to one file or if it affects all print jobs.
HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- HP provides a diagnostic tool called "HP Print and Scan Doctor" that can automatically diagnose and resolve many printing problems. You can download it from the HP website and run it to see if it can identify and fix the issue.
If you've tried these steps and still can't print, it might be helpful to provide more specific details about the error message you're seeing in the print queue or any other relevant information. This will help in further troubleshooting the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

My printer information report indicates that the printer is connected to my Wi-fi and the signal strength is excellent. However, it says that the printer is not connected to the Internet.
As part of the printer set up I downloaded the HP Smart software from 123.hp.com to my PC . I have not set up the app on my Iphone. Should I do this?
My PC is running Windows 10.
I can not print any documents from Excel or Word.
It is allowing scanning.
The default is now appearing as HP eprint.
Getting very frustrated by all this!
