HP ENVY 6458e All-in-One Printer

I too found out today that my printer would not print in color. Reading here it's possibly a common thread. When I finally checked the Supply Levels I do not see a color cartridge installed. Hmmmmm. I chat with support they come in and try several things and when they get to the some point they ask me to re-load new cartridges which I don't have since I just installed some. Printer was new and the original supplied lasted a short time. I went to reinstall the color cartridge and noticed it still had the protective  plastic film taped to the contacts... Duh. So, ever since I installed new cartridges I haven't had color apparently. I never noticed. Probably not what's wrong with your issues but maybe!
