I keep getting notifications to "Add a Device" to "Setup your envy pro 6400. But, I already have the printer installed and scanner uses the full addition. What needs to be installed and why? I have the Full Version of the software. Will it be changed or affected? Thank you.

Hi @RS363,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating to receive repetitive notifications when you've already set up your HP Envy 6455 printer. This issue might be due to a few possible reasons, and I'll suggest a few steps you can try to resolve it:
Check for Multiple Instances of Printer Software: Sometimes, your computer might recognize the same printer as a new device if it reconnects through a different network or port. Check your devices list (on Windows, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners; on Mac, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners) to ensure that the printer isn’t listed more than once. If there are duplicates, remove the extra entries.
Update Printer Software and Drivers: Make sure that your printer's software and drivers are up to date. Visit the HP website, find your printer model, and check for the latest software updates. This can resolve issues where the printer software does not recognize that the device is already installed.
Check Printer Network Connection: If your printer is connected to a network, ensure it's consistently on the same network as your computer. Changes in the network connection might prompt the software to recognize the printer as a new device.
Reset Printer Settings: Sometimes resetting the printer to its factory settings can resolve communication errors. You can typically do this from the printer’s control panel under the setup or settings menu.
Disable Notifications: If you're certain everything is set up correctly and you simply want to stop the notifications, you might be able to disable them through the printer software settings on your computer. Look for an option within the HP printer software where notifications can be managed.
Reinstall Printer Software: If none of the above solutions work, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling the printer software. This can help clear up any corruption or errors that occurred during the original installation.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
