I am not a student. I don't know how that got on my description. I am a software consultant.
This printer has been working very well with my HP Envy laptop. However, within the past two months, the printer has changed IP addresses which required updating in the printer properties.
Then the printer intermittelntly required remove and re-installing to get it to print and scan and connect properly.
Within the past two days, I can't get the printer to connect wirelessly at all. I have Googled this and tried registry changes and driver updates. The printer is still in good shape and on the control panel does not have any errors.
What should I do now??

Hi
After 2 or 3 posts your title/status will change, mine says Distinguished Professor based on many pointless posts and not any actual intellectual ability.
Try the HP wizard/doctor....

If in doubt please ask.

Hey, CF4,
Thanks for the reply. I have already tried this. I have used the Scan and Print Doctor for a while now.
It is a good tool, but it did not work in my case.
Thanks again for your reply, but I still cannot get the printer to show up.

Hi
OK.
I would now ask a lot of needless questions. True to form....
Have you recently changed the Router?
Has Microsoft blocked it via the Firewall with crazy permission levels?
Can you run a network search for all devices and ping the printer?
WPS available on the Router and Printer?

All good questions. Thanks for asking. Necessary to make sure nothing is overlooked.
No the router is the same as it has been. Password changed on router, but the printer has reconnected properly as has the laptop to the network.
Turned off the firewalls and tried to add the printer and nothing was listed.
Can't ping the printer from the PC, but the printer does have an IP address assigned to it that is read from the printer itself.
WiFi Protected Setup is available on the router. I not specifically tried that since the printer did connect to the router so that should not be the problem.
I did try WiFi Direct and the laptop could still not find the printer.

No problem. Thanks for your help. Not looking for something that can solve all problems, just need the solution for how to address this.
My guess is that the is a recent update from Microsoft for Windows 10, 64 bit that has caused this issue.
I can't really put my finger on it, but it seemed like it was right around the time of one of the updates that was "automatically" applied to my machine.
