I have an HP Envy 7640 printer and I'm getting a "needs attention" message on the desktop device settings. I haven't used it in months and just renewed my hp instant ink subscription to use it again. It prints test pages direct from printer fine. But will not print from wifi network. I have disconnected and set up the wifi network on my desktop as well as the printer as well as powered off and on. I've also removed the printer from my devices and the set it up again. Trouble shooting via the desktop as well as on printer show nothing. The print jobs just stay in my que and won't print. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi@CinyG,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing print issues with the HP ENVY Printer will not print from Wi-Fi network.

I have a few recommendations

  • The printer requires your attention message can appear if you're using a network printer. To fix this problem suggesting to delete your printer and installing it again. In addition to reinstalling your printer, be sure to assign a static IP address to it.
  • It normally means a panel is open, paper is missing or stuck, or something similar. Check if the printer itself is flashing a message or light to indicate a problem.
  • Click this link for HP Printer Wi-Fi network setup. https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1780623-1698506-16

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
