Thanks for the help but I think I am done chasing down this rabbit hole. The key issue was just getting a driver installed that would allow for borderless feature to work with my applications. I now have that installed via TCP/IP port and the HP app is installed and those two seem to work well for me and the features I need.
I would make the recommendation to your programmers to have the HP App utility install the correct driver rather than a basic featureless driver. Printers really shouldn't require this amount of time to setup. Plug-n-play really is still a dream.
