HP Envy 7640; In Mac System Preferences for the printer it does not say "Print / Scan" as it did prior to OS update to OS 11.2.2. I can still scan to computer from printers Control Panel; just can't open scanner in System Preferences. That has the varios options for the scan that I need.

@ahert001, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

It seems like the printer is not added as 'Bonjour multifunction'. Reinstalling the printer using the AirPrint driver will resolve this issue.

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your MAC.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

Also, check for any software updates on MAC

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

Click the Apple menu, and then select System Preferences.

Depending on your operating system version, click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners.

Click the name of your printer, click the Minus sign, and then delete this printer entry.

Click the Plus sign, and then click Add Printer or Scanner.

Click the Use or Print Using box, and then select AirPrint/Secure AirPrint

Click Add to add the printer to the list.

Under 'kind', select 'Bonjour multifunction'

Try to print and scan.
