HP ENVY Photo 7855 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I first bought the printer everything worked well with all the pictures I printed. Now, the borderless option comes and goes whenever it wants and it's really difficult and time consuming to print a simple picture.

Looking for a way to autosave configurations so it knows I am printing a 4x6 borderless picture on HP Advanced photo paper so I don't have to recreate the steps every time I go to print a picture. Would only like to have to change the orientation depending on the picture. Additional questions may come up from me depending on responses. Thank you

Hi @buckeye713,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I'd like to help!

I understand you facing intermittent issues with borderless printing.

Try the below suggestions-

NOTE:

If your software program includes a photo printing feature, follow the instructions that are provided with the software program. Otherwise, follow these instructions.

  1. Click the Start button.

  2. Click Settings and select Control Panel.

  3. Click the Printers and Faxes icon.

  4. Right-click the HP Deskjet xxxx Series icon and select Properties. (The printer series, either 6500 or 6800, will be in place of the x's.)

  5. On the General tab, click Printing Preferences to open the Printing Preferences dialog box.

  6. On the Printing Shortcuts tab, select Photo printing-borderless as the type of document, and then select the following options:

    • Print quality: Normal, Best, or Max dpi.

    • Paper size: Select the appropriate borderless photo paper size.

    • Paper type: Select the appropriate photo paper type.

    • Orientation: Portrait or Landscape.

  7. Set the following options as appropriate:

    • HP digital photography options

    • Advanced color settings

    • Color management

    • Grayscale quality

  8. Select any other desired print settings, and then click OK. If the image was printed on photo paper with a tear-off tab, remove the tab to make the document completely borderless.

Also, refer to the document, to print using custom paper sizes-Create Custom Paper Sizes

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
