HP Recommended

Selected "print" and nothing happened, printer was locked up with screen displaying HP logo and first dot lit. Tried unplugging from back and plug in outlet, nothing works. I've been w/o printer for 3 days now and getting desperate. The symptoms are the same as the other people have indicated. Is there a solution or do I need to buy a new printer?

Thanks for any assistance.
