Try using the Free Revo Uninstaller Tool to remove the printer programs and then reinstall the printer

Note: This is a 3rd part Software

Another two hours wasted and it DOES NOT WORK!

Ran Revo Uninstaller and removed all traces of Envy 7800 printer. Restarted and ran again to make sure anything related to printer was gone. Removed Printer from Devices. Ran printui.exe /s and removed drivers. Every trace of Envy 7800 now gone.

Restarted again and ran full feature installer. Installed proceeded just fine and using HP app I could printer status report without issue and it said everything was OK. Tried to print from Chrome and got network error. Ran HP Print & Scan Doctor which first said "Scanner feeder Mispick detected." Restarted printer, tried again and it said "port match issue fixed." Clicked on test print button and got a printer error network PCL-3.

Tried HP Printer Assistant again and it could communicate with printer and print reports. Tried Edge browser and once again received error message "config problem 0x8007007e." Searched web for solutions to this issue but nothing I found seemed to work.

Finally tried connecting printer via USB. Deleted network printer and now no problems printing from Chrome or Edge.

Very frustrating. There must be a solution to this issue but it appears that neither HP nor Microsoft cares enough to resolve this issue. To me it looks more like a Windows 10 issue, but so far NO SOLUTIONS have been found.

Thanks for keeping me posted

This could to be an issue with the OS or the User Account, I suggest you try creating a New User Account and check if you are able to print wirelessly in the new User Account

I can try another user account when I have a chance, but I really don't think that's the problem. I believe it's something in the OS which is causing the problem. If it works in another user account then how would that help solve the problem??? Seems to me that will just tell us there is something wrong in one account but not identify the problem itself.

The latest hex error message implies that something is wrong in Windows but I have no clue how to fix it.

True it could likely be an issue with Windows itself. But if it works on another User Account, then we know it's an issue with the User Account only and you can use the new Account

If it's an OS issue, we could try running the SFC Scan to fix any Windows errors first

If the issue persists then will need to perform a Reset. Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04742289
