I have been going crazy with this printer to no avail today. I recall last week or so, a download for it showed up and I didn't
really look at it, I let it download. Well, I have been having problems printing and scan problems since. Today, The printing was all right. Except: 1. When I want to print a pdf page, it will not print it out, but sends the page to a file... and 2. when I checked the printer, file it said "driver is unavailable". ??????? The scan will scan, but no longer to my computer!! And the scan also says to download a full software and drivers. I did that 3 times. It stopped downloading because it said I am not the administrator. (I am) 5 other small happenings: 1. In Devices, it says driver unavailable. 2. Printer information says: Status out of paper in tray (N O-its full) 3. Scan-software required. HP FUll software and drivers- scan works, except won't; scan to computer. 4. Printer information says: Not Installed-??? 5. Prints to a file, not out of the printer so I can have the hard oopy.
Anyway I have been at this printer all day and think something went amuck! I think I should uninstall and reinstall. However, the uninstall is fine. Does HP have the Full install package, what about al the updates etc. ?? I never had to do this before so it will be interesting. I just don't know if it is the right thing to do or keep trying the 'fixes" on HP. I really don't know what happened. This little printer has been excellent for me, no problems since I have it and believe me it gets used. If anyone out there can help me resolve this, I will greatly appreciate it. (And all the fix it, repair, check programs HP has for this to fix, are sitting on my desktop. Thanks for any ideas and help.
Thanks PS. I looked in Devices on my computer. The HPEnvy Photo 7155 in unchecked, but a check was in
HP09DD48.ian next to it in devices. What is this???. I am stuck now as I don't want to uninstall and reinstall until I know what I am uninstalling. Is it an update or???????HELP

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:
Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
15.) Restart the computer.
Once done, please download and install the software from here:
