HP Envy 5020
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My son has an HP Envy 5020, however can not print anything.

Troubleshooting states "Prnt Spoolers not working"

Have followed the advise and gone into Admin and clicked on Print Spoolers.

Message comes up "Windows could not start the print spooler service on local computer - Error Code Ox80070005.

Can't even uninstall device and start again.

Have tried to print from another lap top - it connects but nothing gets printed.

Only 10 months old and so any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

@Gabs68

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues printing.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Are you able to make a copy?

Meanwhile, I recommend you root uninstall the printer and then reinstall and check whether the issue is resolved.

Here is how it is done.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Restart the PC

14.) Download and install the printer software from the below link.

Many thanks,

I have run through the links and both printer and HP App are entirely up to date, however whilst the printer is detected and allows us to print, the document simply sits in a queue and we still receive error message.

Have run troubleshooting via Bluetooth devices and the message I get is:

Print Spooler service is not running - not fixed.

Are there any other solutions?

Many thanks

Mark

I recommend you follow the below steps to start the print spooler service and check if it helps.

  1. Click the Start button and select Run. ...
  2. In the Command Prompt type, net start spooler, then press Enter to Start the Print Spooler.

Let me know how it goes.
