Please help. I have recently changed my Wifi dongle and the printer will now not work wireless. I have uninstalled lots of times, cleaned up the disk and tried yet again to USB to Wireless. I tried using the old WiFi dongle but this won't work either. When installing USB to Wifi it says printer detected
but then i get the following message
"
Printer rediscovery problems detected. Your PC may not be able to track online status changes of your printer.
If you are using firewall software, verify UDP port 427 is unblocked from your printer at 192.168.1.167 to your PC.
To fix the issue(s) try to power your printer off and on."
I have tried all solutions - can you please help.
Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Restart the Router, Printer and the Computer. Once done, follow these steps:
Let's run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:
Use this link for details on using the HP Print and Scan doctor: https://hp.care/2JyaC93
If the issue persists, let's do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:
Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
15.) Restart the computer.
Once done, please download and install the software from here:

Thank you very much for replying to my help message. I have done what you said but it came up with an error (Error 80070002:0) so I uninstalled all HP by root method, restarted and reinstalled. Firstly I installed the USB version and then USB to Wireless and then it hung and just said installing device. Ichecked the printers and the only one present is the F4500 Series Class Driver. I now have a fatal error and HP are sending me a fix. has happened before, i have followed instructions and nothing help.
Thanks

I have contacted HP and paid for support call as my printer is out of warranty. They were unable to help. However they tried to deal with the problem through HP Smart as opposed to Convert USB to Wireless. I am due for a refund.
I have been through carefully to ensure that Port 427 is open but i am still getting the same message. The screen before says printer detected but then the next screen says check that UDP Port 427 is unblocked. i have been printing wirelessly all the time before. It was just because i changed internet provider for a short period and then went back to my old provider that i can't now connect wirelessly. I am tempted to get a different make of printer but am too careful about this throw away world as my printer should be working fine. Any more ideas would be gratefully received. Thank you
